Ms. McGlothen | 7th & 8th Grade Science
My husband, two dogs and I are excited to continue our life adventure in Colorado with the Riverview family. We started our adventure in Northwest Oregon as we started our family and focused on raising three beautiful and confident girls. After our girls were all in school, I challenged myself and earned my BS in Science from Portland State University and my Master's in Education in an online program through University of Phoenix in 5 years. After being awarded my teaching certificate in Alaska, we took our family to Alaska and I taught Biology for 7 years with Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. Our girls are all grown now and beginning their individual adventures as we enter a new phase here in Colorado. I enjoy hiking, bow hunting, snowshoeing, and photography while spending time outdoors with my husband and dogs. When the weather isn't cooperating, I enjoy sewing, reading, and cooking. I am looking forward to working with students this year as we explore the exciting world around us and learn how our actions affect the natural processes of the planet and beyond. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or would like to join us in our educational adventures.
Mr. Romanyshyn | 6th & 7th Grade Science
I am very excited to be teaching 6th and 7th grade Science at Riverview this year. I am a Colorado Native and love to explore. I graduated from CSU in Fort Collins in 2011. I then started my teaching career in the beautiful, but frigid Fraser Valley of Colorado. My teaching career then took me to Mozambique in south eastern Africa where I served with the Peace Corps for over two years. Earlier this year my wife and I welcomed our first son, Linden, into the Roaring Fork Valley! I am looking forward to a year full of scientific exploration and adventure! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
