Middle School Family Information Center
6th & 7th Grade Humanities
Hello! I am incredibly excited to start teaching at the Riverview school! I was born in the Roaring Fork Valley to a family of teachers and have looked to continue that legacy since I moved back after college. I attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon earning a bachelors in History and played division 3 soccer there as well. I have run the soccer program at Roaring Fork High School (Boy and Girls) for the last 5 years as well as being a Math 1 teacher and last year there. This year I am looking forward to getting to know the diverse group of students and staff at the school and use those diverse perspectives to together, immerse ourselves into the histories, literature and ideas that give us meaning and push us to be better, more compassionate human beings as well as students with intention and purpose.
7th & 8th Grade Humanities
Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, I have a longtime love of the mountains and surrounding area. I left behind everything I knew when I took off for college in 2006, and settled into Fort Collins for the subsequent decade. During my time in Fort Collins I earned my teaching certificate in English Education at Colorado State University, and later, went back to CSU to earn a Masters in Rhetoric and Composition.

My wife and I moved back to the Western Slope in 2015, and I was fortunate to spend 4 amazing years at Rifle Middle School as an 8th Grade Literacy Teacher.

I look forward to joining the Roaring Fork School District, and I can't wait to kick off the next school year at Riverview!

Away from teaching, I enjoy getting out into the fresh mountain air with my wife, twin boys, and two dogs. Fly-fishing, camping, reading, writing, and aerial photography, take up the majority of my free time.
