I was born on the front range of Colorado and grew up exploring the creeks and hills around my house. I am married to my wife, Cecelia, and we have a 2 year old son named Linden. This is my fourth year at Riverview and my ninth year of teaching. Being a teacher has led me around the globe, indoors and out. I have worked in classrooms in the Roaring Fork Valley, Granby, and Mozambique. Outside of the classroom I have worked with a variety of environmental education centers as well as a park ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park for multiple summers. In my free time I really enjoy exploring! I like to explore outdoors by hiking, rafting, biking, or camping. I also really enjoy exploring different places and cultures and how people can view and live in the same world in different ways.
