Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, I have a longtime love of the mountains and surrounding area. I left behind everything I knew when I took off for college in 2006, and settled into Fort Collins for the subsequent decade. During my time in Fort Collins I earned my teaching certificate in English Education at Colorado State University, and later, went back to CSU to earn a Masters in Rhetoric and Composition.

My wife and I moved back to the Western Slope in 2015, and I was fortunate to spend 4 amazing years at Rifle Middle School as an 8th Grade Literacy Teacher.

I look forward to joining the Roaring Fork School District, and I can't wait to kick off the next school year at Riverview!

Away from teaching, I enjoy getting out into the fresh mountain air with my wife, twin boys, and two dogs. Fly-fishing, camping, reading, writing, and aerial photography, take up the majority of my free time.
